Anna “Mitzi” Roselle, 63, passed away surrounded by family on March 10, 2023 at The University of Iowa Hospital.
Anna grew up in Green Rock, IL and graduated from Moline High School in 1978. She married Richard D Roselle on March 14, 1981. Anna and Richard had two daughters, and a son whom passed at birth. Anna graduated from Black Hawk college with an Associates degree in Criminal Justice. She was passionate about helping people, especially children and those with disabilities. She worked as a social worker for Catholic Family Services, a teacher for children with behavorial and learning disabilities at Thomas Jefferson Elementary, and as a care giver at The Arc. She was very proud to serve her country as a United States Marine, as well as the United States Army as a contractor.
Anna dedicated her life to her husband and children, as well as her seven grandchildren. She was able to travel the world with her family, and lived in Germany for a year. She loved to travel, spend time with her kids, and in her youth go dancing with her sisters. She was an avid reader, animal lover, and enjoyed all genres of music. Anna had many special nieces and nephews, whom she loved like her own children. She made friends wherever she went spanning the United States and abroad. She was strong willed and could argue about anything, but you never doubted her love for you. She left behind many broken hearts, including her beloved dogs Jack and Diane.
Anna was preceeded in death by her stepfather James L Blair, special nephew Shane P Entwistle, and infant son Zachary A Roselle.
Anna is survived by her husband Richard D Roselle of Moline, IL. Daughters, Amanda J Scott (Chris) of Anchorage, AK. Destiny M Roselle (Andrew) of Williston, ND. Her mother Anna J Blair of Colona, IL. Siblings, Cherie Fulks (Gary) of Geneseo, IL, Linda Gaines (Joey) Manchester,TN, Gail Hastings of East Moline, IL and Bobby McCullough of Colona, IL. Grandchildren, Daeton Vickroy-Roselle, Allister Roselle, Abby Mason, Annalyn Desselle, Draven Scott, Rayanna Scott and Olivia. As well as many special nieces and nephews including Denise Zertuche and Caleb Hastings.
Cremation rites were accorded and a graveside service with Military Honors will be held on May 19, 2023, at 11:00 am. at the Rock Island Arsenal followed by a luncheon.
