Beverly K. Davidson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 21, 1942, Beverly was a vibrant spirit known for her generosity and warm-hearted nature.
Beverly graduated from Central High School in Davenport, Iowa, in 1961. That same year, she married Jack Davidson, and together they shared many life experiences before later divorcing. Beverly's journey took her through various roles, including her work with Culligan, Clinton Steele, and Winding Hills. However, her true passion lay in the connections she fostered with her family and friends. Beverly’s generous heart and warm personality were evident in everything she did; she embodied the belief that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Her unwavering support and love made everyone feel special and appreciated.
Beverly was a lively spirit whose witty sense of humor brought joy to countless gatherings. She delighted in making her family and friends laugh, turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. Her love for her daughters—Lori (Greg) Elkins of Bettendorf, Iowa, Lisa (Nick) Efstathiou of Eldridge, Iowa, and Lynn (Sven) Koelker of Davenport, Iowa—shone brightly, and her dedication as a mother was unmatched.
Time spent with her grandchildren—Nicholas Efstathiou, TJ Kaasa, Caitlin Efstathiou, Alex Elkins, Madison Koelker, and Brock Koelker—was undoubtedly the highlight of her life. She took great joy in being a grandmother, and her heart swelled with pride as she welcomed her great-grandchildren, Alynea, Grayson, Lucas, and Addison, into the family fold.
In her younger years, Beverly adored dancing, indulging in reading books, playing bingo, and embarking on spontaneous trips to Florida to visit her sister. Her convertible was often seen cruising around, top-down, as she relished the freedom of the open road. Beverly found solace and joy lounging by the pool, often accompanied by her large Diet Pepsi from McDonald's, enjoying the sun and good company. She also enjoyed spending precious time with her granddaughter, Caitlin.
Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Leonard and Helen Hamilton, and her sisters, Maxine Schult, Jo Anne Stecher, and Judy Dittmer. She also mourned the loss of her niece, Julie Price, and nephews, Steve Stecher and Glen Schult. May they rest in Peace.
She leaves behind her special niece, Tammy Franklin, along with many other nieces and nephews, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness, laughter, and love.
As we remember Beverly K. Davidson, we are reminded of her generous spirit and unyielding love, which will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. A beautiful soul has left this world, but her laughter, warmth, and endless compassion will resonate in the lives she touched for years to come.
