Blair, 75, of Milan, IL, left this earthly place on December 17, 2022, and joined many loved ones who have been waiting patiently for him.
Born June 4, 1947 to Stanley & Bess (Johnson) in Rock Island, Illinois. He grew up in the Edgington and Aledo area under the loving guidance of his Grandparents, Warren & Clara Oak and Della Johnson. He loved growing up on the family farm, being surrounded by every animal imaginable. He met the love of his life while attending Rockridge High School. Blair and Enid were married on July 19, 1968, in Aledo, Illinois.
Blair spent most of his life as a mechanic and worked at several different dealerships over the years. He was always working on something in the garage, from your family cruiser to hot rods. He spent many years helping his buddy John on stock cars and built a couple of his own. He truly loved anything with a motor, and you never knew from month to month what vehicle or motorcycle he would be driving. He also loved to fish and was always on a quest for a monster catfish. Blair will be remembered as a jokester with a wicked sense of humor. Those who knew him well never walked away without a good belly laugh. When the grandchildren came, he loved to rough-house and spoiled them rotten. Although a stroke several years ago slowed him down, he never lost that quick wit that kept us all in stitches.
Survivors include his wife, Enid; children, Tonya (Dave) of Winterset, IA, Shane (Brinda), Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Alyssa, Austin, Cody Colton, and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Ava, Weston, and Brynn; honorary brothers, Ernie and Steve.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law; brothers Drew and Tony; uncles, Don and Wendell.
At his request, there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on his Memory Page at mvcremation.com.
