Brian Mcgregor

Brian Joseph McGregor, 44, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on June 28, 2023.

Brian was born February 20, 1979, in Davenport, IA. He is the son of Ann McGregor, Springville, IA., and Tom (Kim) George of Durant, IA.

Brian spent most of his working life in the carpentry trade. His hobbies included Hockey, chess, board games, drawing, and painting. He also enjoyed the Cubs, the Packers, and racing.

Besides his parents, Brian is survived by his brothers: Cory (Taryn) McGregor Moline, IL. and Drew (Ali) George Durant, IA. His sisters: Leslie (Bryan) Paulsen, Durant, IA, and Alissa (Kyle) Costello, New Liberty, IA.
His children, Kassi and Daniel McGregor, Eugene, OR, and Lilliana McGregor, Cedar Rapids, IA. Several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joyce and Pete McGregor, and great-grandparents.

Brian was strong, creative, and hard-working. He loved with his whole heart. He was a talented carpenter. He had a beautiful appreciation for music, and he touched many hearts.

Brian was able to give the most precious gift of life to 3 people through Organ Donation.

His family would like to thank Meghan, Chandler, Dylan, and the rest of the Iowa Donor Network team for their love, support, and compassion throughout this journey.
