Carol Ann Ostler, affectionately known as Carol to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, in Calamus, Iowa, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born on July 18, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, Carol's zest for life and her vibrant spirit were evident from an early age. Carol was blessed with the joy of knowing her great-grandchildren, Mason Evans, Dawson Oliver, Carson Whittaker, Mariaha Whittaker, Kayelyn Himes, Karoline Clapp, Nash Clapp, Parker Cooper, Milo Cooper, and Annabelle Jones, who will grow up hearing stories of their remarkable great-grandmother.

Carol's life was one of celebration, and her educational journey, which culminated in her earning a GED, reflected her belief in the power of perseverance and lifelong learning.
