Cheryl Gene Sickler, 76, of Bettendorf, passed away on Nov. 28, 2023 peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family and pets.
Cheryl was born in Davenport on July 30, 1947, to the late Arleen (Keiser) and Gene Smith. She spent the majority of her life in the Quad Cities where she called Bettendorf home.
Cheryl was a devoted, loving Mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to cook and celebrate the holidays. She had an eye for adding a special touch to any occasion. Cheryl had an appreciation for nature and was a life-long animal lover. Cheryl had a daily routine of feeding the backyard birds and squirrels. Cheryl loved to shop, especially at Von Maur and Trader Joe’s. She also enjoyed catching a Kansas City Chiefs game.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Heather Smith of Bettendorf; her twin sons, Aaron Sickler and Ryan Sickler; her grandchild, Nicole (George) Walsh, great-grandchild, Willow; brother Randy (Cheri) Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sally Smith and her uncle, Marvin Keiser.
A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held in the Spring 24’ (TBD) at her Bettendorf residence. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made on her behalf to The Humane Society of Scott County, King’s Harvest Pet Rescue or your favorite animal charity.
