Dan James Copeland, 59, of Le Claire, Iowa, passed away peacefully in his home with his daughter and wife at his side.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 9th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Celebration Center, 21st Floor, Le Claire, Iowa.
Dan was born on December 24th, 1962, in Lewiston, Maine, to Arlene and Larry Plummer. He married Patricia in September 1990, with whom he had one child, Jennifer. Dan obtained his GED and worked as a highly sought-after Drywall Technician for Van Pelt Drywall for over 30 years.
He enjoyed playing his guitars, tinkering on his Jeep, foraging for mushrooms, listening to music, watching YouTube videos, experimenting with hydroponic gardening, fishing, kayaking, and camping. Dan and his wife shared many adventures on their mountain bikes, and he was no stranger to trying new jumps and skills on the trails. Some of his favorite musicians were Joe Bonamassa, Journey, We the Kingdom, and Casting Crowns.
Dan was always willing to help out a friend or someone in need. He enjoyed vacations to the beach and the opportunity to deep sea fish in his home state of Maine and Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; daughter, Jennifer; mother, Arlene Plummer; brother, Gary Copeland (Susan); sister, Nancy Mason (Robert); brother, David Copeland; brother, Raymond Copeland (Trish); and sister, Marlene White.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Barille, his step-father, Larry Plummer, and his brother, Stephen Copeland.
