Daniel Luciano “Dan” Rosales, 62, of Moline, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, with loved ones by his side. A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline on Saturday, October 26th, between 1 - 4 pm.
Dan was born October 29, 1961, in Moline, IL, to Deloris and Amador Rosales. He graduated from Moline High School in 1979. Dan grew up with a love of nature and the outdoors, camping, boating, and water skiing on the Mississippi River with friends. He also loved sailing on Lake George in the summers and planning ski trips to Colorado in the winter. Whether riding mountain bikes, road bikes, motorcycles, or ATV’s he was always up for a challenge and fun.
He learned the art of welding from his dad. For decades, they worked together at Central Welding Service in Rock Island, along with his mom. Dan eventually became the owner and operator of Central Welding Service before venturing into other work.
Above all, Dan enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed. His humor was unmatched with his quick wit, one-liners, facial expressions, and even body movements to share his stories. We will all miss his sweet nature and gentle soul.
His memories will be cherished by so many, including his daughter Lucky (n?e Mari) Alvarado; his siblings, Steven A. Rosales (Jennifer), Philip Rosales, Cyndi Purcell, Veronica (Eliot Moskow), Christina (Bill Bargmann); and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Deloris and Amador Rosales.
Family and friends are invited to express condolences on his Memory Page at www.mvcremation.com.
Donations can be made to Riverbend Food Bank of Davenport, IA.
