David Kundert

March 27, 1959 — December 15, 2021

David W. Kundert, 62, of Davenport, IA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at his home.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 10:30 am at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Family and friends that wish to attend David's graveside service should meet at DeRoo Funeral Home, 1611 7th Street, Moline, IL, at or before 10 am in order to join the funeral procession over to Rock Island National Cemetery.
He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and all of his family. He loved classic rock and listening to it on vinyl. David enjoyed growing and tending to his plants. He was employed at the University of Denver and later at Augustana College, Rock Island. David served as a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the Navy and enlisted from 1978-1982 and in the Army from 1983 - 1987 where he served as Airborne 82nd, Specialist 4th Class.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Kundert, Joshua Kundert, and Jacob Kundert all of Denver, Colorado. Grandchildren Azaiyia, J.J., Kingston, and Isabella. Parents, Sharon Pruden of Davenport, Iowa and Gerald and Joan Kundert of LeClaire, Iowa. Siblings, Shirley Sparks (Bill) of Earlville, Illinois, James Kundert (Jennifer) of Milan, Illinois, Roger Kundert (Angel) of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Jon Kundert (Amelie) of LeClaire, Iowa. Many nieces and Nephews. Special Friend Kelli Michelle Carr.

He was preceded in death by brother Jerold Kundert, Brother Christopher Kundert, Sister Susan Kundert, and Grand-daughter Angel. earned her wings
