David Wayne Penn of Davenport, IA, previously from Ellenwood, GA, at the age of 66 was called home on June 7, 2022. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Committal services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Rock Island Arsenal. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Wendt Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL 61265, at 9:00 a.m.

Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.

David was born January 16, 1956, in Encino, CA, the son of Charles Harry and Barbara Jean (Adamson) Penn. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, restoring classic cars, helping others, spending time with his grandkids, camping and water skiing. He was truly a "jack of all trades".

David and Celeste (Flockhart) Penn were married for 35 years. His nickname is "Animal" and Celeste is an animal lover.David and Celeste had one heck of a roller coaster ride for 35 years.They had our good and bad times, but through it all, their love for each other never faded.

David is survived by his wife, Celeste Penn; Children - Michael Littrel, Matthew Littrel (Diana), Kimberly Littrel, Barbara-Jean Penn, and Colton Penn (Brittany); 8 Grandchildren -Gabriel, Samantha, Haley, Nicholas, Cody, Daniel, David, and Charlie. Brothers - Chuck, Steve, Jeff, Joe, Terry, Michael. Sisters - Carolyn and Jane; Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on his Memory Wall.
