Dawn Serres

Dawn Renee Serres, 64, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, after a long hard battle with Parkinson’s disease. Dawn was born in Moline to William and Jeannette Carter. She attended Moline schools.

Dawns former employers were John Deere PDC, and Oak Glen Nursing Home. Dawn always had the desire to become a semi driver so later in life she attended school and obtained a job as a truck driver.

Those who knew Dawn would say she had a heart of gold with a tough exterior and was always ready and willing to lend a hand to help others.

Those left to honor her memory are a sister Janet Lannoo of East Moline, whom she resided with later in life, sister Cindy Brandt Kirchoefer (Bob) of Florida. Nieces Jennifer and Christine Urbain. Nephews Aaron Lannoo and Jeffery Brandt. Great nephew’s Joseph Urbain, Trevor Lannoo, and Julian Smith. Great nieces Ashley Gregan and Cassie Stapp along with many great-great nieces and a nephew. Dawns beloved Uncle Gordon and Aunt Jana and many cousins.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents and a niece Stephanie Lannoo.

As Dawn requested there will be no services. Her family will have a private Celebration of Life and share their favorite Dawn stories.
