Deanna J. Hitchcock, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023, of natural causes at the age of 77.
Born on September 21, 1946, in Rock Island, Illinois, Deanna's life was a testament to her loving, selfless, and courageous spirit. Dee, as she was affectionately known by those close to her, graduated from Rockridge High School. She worked at Servus Rubber in Rock Island, retiring after nearly four decades.
Her life was all about her family. Deanna was a devoted mother to John and Leroy and took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Taylor, Brooke, Jack, Maisy, Tyler, and Madison. Deanna was the beloved sister to Gary (Cindy) Mueller, Cheryl Mueller, Debbie (Greg) Fisher, and will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters (and brother in laws), Karen (Bill) Doyle, Trudy (Gonzalo) Duran, and her parents, Robert and Blanche Mueller. She is survived by her sons, John (Dyan) Hitchcock and Leroy (Katie) Hitchcock.
Deanna always put others before herself, especially her family. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
