Deano Lee Trevino, 55, of East Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family.

Deano Lee Trevino was born on April 28th, 1969, to Jose and Pat (Fuller) Trevino in Rock Island, IL. He married Sheryl Lear on July 20th, 2002, at the UAW in Rock Island, IL. They met in 1999 at Barjan Products in East Moline. In 2012, they adopted two of their grandchildren, Scott and Khloe.

He worked at McLaughlin Body Company for twenty years as a utility operator and served as Union secretary for many years. He loved his union brothers and sisters.

Nothing was more important than spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed family vacations to Florida. He also loved playing pool; playing for the Blackhawk Sunday Pool League for more than twenty-five years. He served as president of the league for a few years. Fishing with his family was also something he loved. He enjoyed all sports, especially the Bears. He loved watching a good game. Spending time with old and new friends at Jimbo’s Knucklehead Saloon in East Moline was a treat for him.

He looked forward to his Friday night talks with his siblings especially talking with his brother Jose. Deano’s favorite holiday was Christmas; he loved seeing the look on his grandchildren’s faces when they opened their gifts. He was the family “master of the grill” cooking great food for everyone.

A celebration of life will be at the Rock Island Eagles, 5103 11th Street, on Friday November 8th from 5pm to 8pm. No official service per his wishes; however, stories will be shared at the celebration of life.
