Edward Wickman Hamilton, 83, of Davenport, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 26, at his residence. Ed was born in Evanston, Illinois and moved to Whitewater, Wisconsin when he was eight. He graduated from University of Wisconsin Whitewater then served two years in the army. He moved to Davenport in 1971 and worked at John Deere Davenport Works until he retired in 2001. Then he followed a dream and bought a bar (The Mad Boar Pub) in Whitewater and ran it until 2009. After selling the bar he moved back to Davenport. He loved to golf, ski, fish and telling jokes. He loved being with family and his dogs. He is survived by his wife Roxanne of 33 years, his daughter Jodi(John) Cole and son Steve of San Antonio, Texas; his stepdaughter Krista(Mike) Ringdahl, stepsons Sean(Jennifer) and Nicolas (Jamie) Marietta and 14 grandchildren. Also his brother Greg(Dee) of Darien,Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his daughter Penny in 2019. A celebration of life will be held in Whitewater, Wisconsin in April 2025.
Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, Moline.
