Gary R. Andersen, 74, of Kewanee, IL, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022, at his residence.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private service will be held at a later date.
Gary was born on July 22, 1948, in Borger, TX, to George K. and Janet (Davis) Andersen. He attended school in Mineral and Annawan, IL. He served for four years in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1971.
Gary, also known as "Animal" enjoyed drinking PBR, smoking Winstons, and eating Oreo cookies with milk.
Survivors include his son, Tony (Kyla) Andersen of Peoria; daughter, Amy (Taylor) Lewis; and grandaughter, Rachel Wendler all of Peoria; sisters: Laura (Dwaine) Verbeck, Annawan, IL, Sue Hartweg (Steve Nichols) Kewanee, IL; brother, M. Todd (Cindy) Andersen Howell, Michigan, and several nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Janet Andersen; brother, Bruce Andersen; sister, Kathy in infancy, and nephew, George A. Andersen..
