He was born on November 9, 1953, in Beardstown, IL, and graduated from Moline High School in 1971. Gary's love for music quickly shaped his career path. He embarked on an extensive music career, most notably as a sound engineer for BJ Thomas. His work took him across the US and to international stages, where his talent and dedication to the craft of sound engineering were widely recognized and respected.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Marie Weller Smith, 2 grandsons, and 1 great grandson; his sister, Deborah Weller Sipp; and by his many friends, bandmates, and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric F. Weller.
