Georgieanne McKeever

May 8, 1944 — January 30, 2025

Georgieanne McKeever, 80, of Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL. 

Ms. McKeever was a devout Catholic. She attended St. Veronica's Catholic School in Ambridge, PA. Grades 1-12.

Georgianne held several positions throughout her career with the US Department of Defense until her retirement in 2010.

Ms. McKeever is survived by one daughter, Holly Mato, of Limerick, PA, and a grandson, Jimmy Phipps, also of Limerick, PA. 

Sisters Edith McKeever-McDonagh of Asheville, NC. Lynn Bialorucki of Columbia, SC. Patty McPherson of Baden, PA, and brother James McKeever and his wife Carol of Baden, PA

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and also several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Georgianne is remembered by her friends and family as a very warm-hearted, honest, loving, and genuinely caring person who will be greatly missed. She was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and a kitty cat lover. Persians were her favorite breed. Like herself, Persians are known for their gentle, adaptable, charming, sweet-tempered, communicative, and playful nature.

Ms. McKeever's ashes will be transported back to PA by her nephew, Michael Mato, this August. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor. Date, time, and place will be determined and announced closer to that time.
