Gregory "Greg" Scott Young, 69, of Rock Island Illinois passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on March 23, 2024.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held starting at 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at Phil & Larry's Saloon, Davenport, Iowa. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, Moline, is assisting the family.

Greg was born July 13th, 1954, in Rock Island, Illinois to Frank Julius Young Jr. and Dorothy Marie Jeffery Young. He attended Rock Island schools before going on to become an automotive artist and guru. He married the love of his life, Catherine "Cathy," December 14th, 2004. Greg had both a beautiful mind and soul, was a seeker of peace, a friend to animals, a lover of Jesus, and an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed reading, spending time with loved ones, and tinkering in his garage.

Just a few of those who have stayed behind include his children, Tiffany Brunk Tapia of Davenport Iowa, Justin Donald Manley of St Louis, Missouri, ReJeana (Joe) Gray, Raymond (Amanda) Gray, Marie Pauley, and Nicky Gray of Rock Island, Illinois, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and siblings Larry Young of Port Albert, Florida, Steve (Sheila) Young and Mike (Louis "Jojo") Young of Phoenix, Arizona, Pattie (Gary) Taylor of Rock Island, Illinois, Cheryl Young and Lisa McCoy of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathy, his parents Frank and Dorothy Young, his brothers Ronnie, John, and Tony Young, and his sister Carol Davis.
