Gwen Veronica Riggs

Gwen Veronica Riggs, 74, of East Moline, IL, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, Moline, IL. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Frank Riggs; her parents, Cleo and Imogene Lanham; and her Siblings, Hank Lanham, Helen Lanham, Rocky Lanham, and Bristol Lanham. She is survived by her children, Danny Riggs, Jr. and Sabrina Dale; her grandchildren, Mark Thomas, Shamaria Dale, and Elisha Dale; her great-grandchildren, Prince Bea-Dale and Leila Bea-Dale; her siblings, Cleo Lanham, Ricky Lanham, Georgia Ghallager, Bobby Lanham, Keith Lanham, and Charlie Lanham; and 34 nephews and nieces.

She had great compassion for the people she worked with at Dixon State School. She had a great ability to work with people who had disabilities. She spent many years volunteering to serve the less fortunate. She loved each of them, and they were so happy to see her.
