Ida L. Lear, 77, of Colona, died Dec. 6, 2022, at River Crossing, Moline.
A small service with Eagles rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon on Monday, Dec. 19, at the F.O.E. 5103 11th St, Rock Island.
Ida Lillian Martin was born Sep. 10, 1945, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret (Catterton) Martin. She married William “Bill” Lear, Jr. June 20, 1964.
She was a retired beautician and a former auxiliary president and secretary of the Fraternal Orders of the Eagles in which she was a member for 38 years. She enjoyed traveling to conventions and spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her children: Marty (Jill) Lear, Robert Lear, Sheryl (Deano) Trevino, Melanie (Dave) Adams, Bill (Kristi) Lear, and Joe (Jenny) Lear, as well as a dedicated niece Peggy Hill.; She had 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Siblings: Frank Martin, Joan Craig, and Georgia Cramer. She has many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Bill Lear Jr.; great-granddaughter Hannah Miner; and her parents and siblings Florence Stigers, Mary Hanshaw, Charles Martin, Barbara Doering, Benjamin Jr., James Martin, Luanna Coon, and Delores Martin.
