James Lane McLaughlin

James Lane McLaughlin, born on January 2, 1943, in Sherrard, Illinois, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, at Fort Armstrong Assisted Living in Rock Island, Illinois.

James was a beloved figure whose life and spirit touched the hearts of many. He is survived by his loving daughter, Pamela Davison, and her husband, Calvin Davison. His second daughter, Jessica Pavlicek, and her husband, Ranier Pavlicek, also cherish his memory. James shared an unbreakable bond with his sister, Jill Stambaugh, and his brothers, Vern Eskridge, Matt McLaughlin, and Jeff Christianson. He was a proud grandfather to Greg Davison and Randy Davison, as well as a devoted great-grandfather to Emery Davison, Romeo Davison, and Ryatt Davison.

James was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Phyllis McLaughlin, as well as his mother, Margie Oviyack, and his father, James McLaughlin. He was also predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Daniels, who will be lovingly remembered.

James Lane McLaughlin will be remembered as a man of warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will continue to resonate with his family and friends. His presence in their lives will be deeply missed, yet they take comfort in the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
