Jeffery Leroy Ince, fondly known as Jeff, passed away peacefully from heart failure on November 14th, 2023, in his beloved hometown of Kewanee, IL. Born on December 8th, 1953, also in Kewanee, Jeff was 69 years old at the time of his passing.
Jeff was a loving father to his children, Tracy Ince, Chad Ince, and Autumn Woods, and cherished the memory of his late son, Daniel Ince. He was a dear brother to Luann (Rick) White, Carol Bryan, and Lyle S. Ince, and held a special place in his heart for his companion, Julie Kiplinger. Jeff was also a doting grandfather and great-grandfather, whose love extended to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (Brazee) and Lyle Ince, and his brother, Butch Ince.
A proud graduate with a high school diploma, Jeff was a man of many talents and interests. He served honorably in the Air Force, a commitment that reflected his dedication to service and country. Following his military service, Jeff obtained a CDL license, demonstrating his wide range of skills and capabilities.
Jeff’s interests were as diverse as his skills. He found solace and joy in the simplicity of fishing, a hobby that brought him immense peace and satisfaction. He was known for his skill at the pool table, where he would often be found cue in hand, strategizing his next shot. A man of many talents, Jeff was also an excellent cook, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations. Music was a significant part of Jeff’s life, and he found great enjoyment in playing his guitar, filling the homes and hearts of those around him with beautiful melodies.
Those who knew Jeff would best describe him as friendly and loving. His warm personality and kind heart made him a joy to be around. His handy nature extended beyond his professional life; he was always willing to lend a hand, whether it was fixing a broken appliance or lending an ear to a friend in need.
In remembering Jeff, we celebrate a life lived to its fullest, filled with love, service, and joy. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of life, his dedication to his family, and his commitment to his passions.
Jeffery Leroy Ince’s life was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and dedication. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of his loved ones.
