Jerry David Dillon passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 93.
He was born on February 14, 1929. Jerry was a man who loved his family and friends, who rarely met a stranger and always appreciated good company.
He enjoyed spending quality time with the ones he loved, birdwatching, fishing, playing with his cat and finding a reason to show off his yodeling skills. One of his favorite ways to break the ice when meeting someone new was to talk like Haney on Greenacres then break out into a yodel.
This year came with some big ups and downs for him when he lost his second son, John M. Dillon, in January and finally met his first great-great granddaughter in person this May. To his delight, his great-great granddaughter loved his yodeling and caught onto it rather quickly, allowing them to yodel together. That experience became his favorite memory and the one he eagerly told everyone until his last day.
Jerry Dillon was preceded in death by his parents William Thronton Dillon and Artela Mae Oxford, his stepdaughter Lynn Lee Donaldson, his sons David Dillon - at infancy, Michael Dillon, and John M Dillon. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jerry Dillon is survived by his wife Edith L Dillon, 2 daughters, 1 son, 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 6 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters, 1 great great-granddaughter and 1 great-great grandson that are known.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on his Memory Page.
