It is with a heavy heart and an empty wine glass that we announce the passing of the incomparable Jessica "Jessi" Luciano. She took her final bow on August 23, 2023, in Davenport, Iowa, after a short-running duel with brain cancer. We reckon the cancer didn't know who it was messing with, because Jessi was a fighter, with a spirit as vibrant as a freshly opened bottle of Merlot.
Born in the Land of Cheese (Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the uninitiated) on November 29, 1971. She is survived by her loving family, including her dashing husband, Massimo, her sister, Heather, and her beautiful children, Allison and Jay who inherited her love for all things artsy and her knack for humor.
With a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and a Master's in Business, she was the perfect blend of creativity and cunning. She was the co-owner of Creativita Paint and Sip Art Studio, where she combined her two favorite pastimes: painting and sipping wine. The only thing missing was a cheese platter, but we're certain she had one stashed in the back room.
Her interests were as colorful as her personality. She loved spending time in the backyard by the fire or playing board games with her family. She was also a talented painter and sketch artist, often capturing the beauty of life in her works. And let's not forget her love for snuggling with Roscoe, the family cat, who we believe is currently in denial, still waiting for his evening snuggle.
Generous, thoughtful, and loving, Jessi was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. She had the biggest heart and a sense of humor that could lighten up even the gloomiest of days. To know Jessi was to love Jessi, and to be loved by her was a privilege.
Let's not mourn her loss with tears but instead, let's raise a glass and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who lived it to the fullest. She will be deeply missed, but her laughter, love, and legacy will live on forever!
