Judy Wagner

October 23, 1945 — September 7, 2024

Judy Ann Wagner, a beacon of kindness and joy, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, in Moline, IL (formally of Davenport, IA), at the age of 78. Born on October 23, 1945, in Mediapolis, IA, Judy's warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Judy's life was one of dedication and service, both to her family and her community. She spent many fulfilling years working at the Alcoa Employees Credit Union, where she was a respected colleague and a cherished friend. Her retirement did not mark the end of her contributions; instead, it gave her more time to invest in her passions and her loved ones.

A master of the knitting needles, Judy was an enthusiastic member of the Quad Cities Knitters Guild, donating many of her creations to the Festival of Trees every holiday season. Her skillful hands created countless treasures that warmed the hearts and homes of many. Judy's love for sports was equally fervent. She could often be found cheering on her favorite tennis and golf players, and she never missed watching her favorite baseball players or football teams.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Wagner, and her legacy will be carried on by her devoted family. She was a loving mother to her daughter, Mary Howell of Lawrence, KS, and her son, David Wagner Sr. of Bettendorf, IA. Her playful spirit lives on through her grandchildren, David Jr., Macy, and Molly, and her great-grandson, Owen, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Those who knew Judy will remember her as the epitome of kindness, always ready with a friendly word or a funny story to lighten the mood. Her presence was a gift to her family and friends, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her.

As we bid farewell to Judy Ann Wagner, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of laughter, love, and the gentle warmth of a woman who made the world a better place simply by being in it. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared and the lives she touched.

A private inurnment will be held on September 16th at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Festival of Trees.
