Katherine Hays, 87, of Moline, IL, passed on to Our Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her home.
Katherine was born on November 20, 1934 to Henry Hollin and Mollie (Maxie) Hollin in Manchester, KY. She was one of 11 children. She met Lawrence Hays from Chicago and fell in love. She then eloped with Lawrence "Bob". She worked 25 years at Milton Bradley and 13 years at Hudson Screw Company.
Upon retirement, they moved to the Quad Cities to be closer to family and grandchildren. Katherine enjoyed playing BINGO, slot machines at the Casino, garage sales, and helping raise her granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Toni (Mark), granddaughters, Jessica Ann, Nicole, Michelle, and Sarah Jane. Her 9 great-grandchildren, Chad, Madison, Cartter, twins, Hope and Cynthia, Gracie, Chlloe, and Caydden; sisters, Ethel and Lily.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence "Bob"; grandson, Matthew; sister, Wilma and brothers, Oscar, Henry, Jr., Owen, Willie, Herbert, John and Granville.
