Keith Diana

November 9, 1989 — April 13, 2024

Keith Raymond Diana, also known as Salty, has now taken the express train to the great beyond at the age of 34, leaving behind a legacy of mirth and music. Born on November 9, 1989, in Queens, NY, Keith's playful spirit and infectious laughter have left an indelible mark on this world. He wrapped up his grand tour in Davenport, IA on April 13, 2024. Keith's zest for life was evident from the get-go, and his charismatic presence was a joy to all who knew him.

Keith, a man who lived with the philosophy that life should be embraced at full throttle, had an insatiable appetite for fun. He strummed his way through life with a guitar in one hand and a banjo in the other, serenading the world with melodies that reflected his adventurous soul. Winter days were his playground, as he reveled in the snow, crafting snow angles with the humor of a child.

A self-proclaimed 'trainiac,' Keith's obsession with trains was more than a hobby; it was a journey of the heart. He found solace in the rhythmic chug of the engines and the scenic blur outside the window. To Keith, riding the rails wasn't just about the destination—it was about savoring the ride, making friends out of strangers, and, of course, ensuring his fellow passengers never had a dull moment.

His love for animals knew no bounds, with a special place in his heart for both cats and dogs. They were his companions, his confidants, and on occasion, his backup singers. Keith's home was full of love and laughter, where two and four-legged creatures alike were always welcome.

When not conquering the great outdoors, Keith was a formidable opponent in the virtual world. Video games were his realm, a place where his quick wit and strategic mind earned him the respect and camaraderie of fellow gamers across the globe. With a controller in hand, he was invincible, his laughter echoing through the headsets of his friends and foes.

Keith's life was a testament to the words adventurous, loving, and funny. He never missed an opportunity to crack a joke or lighten the mood. In the words of the great Robin Williams, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." And Keith, well, he was a bonfire of joyous madness.

He leaves behind a loving mother, Maureen Diana, who imbued in him the strength and warmth that defined his character. Keith joins his father, Harry Knecht, and grandparents Patricia and Joseph Diana, and Harry Knecht, who preceded him in laughter and love and his Grandmother Ernie. Step-siblings, Chris, Mary, and Elaine. His extremely large family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family, will fondly remember Keith's larger-than-life persona that could fill any room with joy and laughter.

Keith’s absence leaves a silence that will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Yet, as we bid farewell to a man who lived to make others happy, we are reminded that his spirit, like the trains he loved so dearly, will continue on its journey, leaving a trail of joy in its wake.

So, here's to Keith—a man who played the soundtrack of his own life with laughter as his melody and love as his refrain. Ride on, you glorious conductor of mirth, and may your next stop be as wondrous as the life you've shared with us all.
