Keith Michael King, 76, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport, IA.
He was born on January 8, 1947, in Ottumwa, IA, the son of Dwight and Thelma King.
Keith graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Iowa and went on to earn his Masters Degree at the University of Miami. He was a school psychologist and worked in many schools in Southeast Iowa for Great River and Great Prairie Area Education Agency, later retiring in 2010.
He enjoyed reading, technology; especially working on Apple-Macintosh computers, his beloved cat Mixie, spending time with family and listening to Weird Al Yankovic.
Survivors include: Keith's three children Valerie (Andy) MacLaurin of Austin, TX, Michael King of Glendale, CA, and Stephanie King of Fort Madison, IA; five grandchildren Mira, Alec, Kayreena, Iver and Opal; and one sister Linda (Steve) Mace of Ottumwa, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and grand parents.
Cremation entrusted with Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, Moline, IL. Burial service will be held at the Ottumwa Cemetery at later date.
