Rita was born April 5, 1961 to Lanora N. Hoeck of Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1980. She met Steve Boore and shortly after had her one and only child LeAnna Boore on May 4,1982. Rita was a homemaker during her adult years but for the past eight years during the holiday season would ring the bells for the Salvation Army. She enjoyed playing music and especially going to concerts. She was a big fan of WWE and enjoyed watching her soap operas, but her number one love was her family and especially spoiling her two grandchildren as much as she could! She will be deeply missed by those lives she touched.
She is proceeded in death by her mother along with all her aunts and uncles on her mother’s side. Those left to honor her memory are her daughter, LeAnna Boore and grandchildren, Lahna Buckley and Gabriel Buckley from Buffalo, Iowa.
We want to say thank you to all who tried to help seconds after she was struck by the truck and a big thank you to the excellent care team at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. In keeping with Rita's loving and generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life through organ donation, so others may live it. A Celebration of Life will be held a later date
Family and friends are invited to express online condolences and share memories on her memory wall.
