LINDA MARIE (ROGEL) ABER (October 17, 1957 b. - May 3, 2024 d.) left her earthly existence upon acquiring her angles wings. Her courageous stand against ALS has ended, released into the heavens where she is now free from suffering and constant pain. She showed those who surrounded her what strength is and loved all who took the time to visit, pray for and share her struggles with during her time of need. She passed in the comfort of family who surrounded her as she peacefully flew into the night sky, amongst the stars, on her way to heaven above.
Born to parents, Ernest and Dorothy Rogel, October 17, 1957, in South Bend, IN. She attended Hall High School, later in life acquiring her GED from IVCC. She married Robert N. Aber Jr. on December 17, 1977, who survives. They had been married 16,939 days or 46.4 years. Their 3 children Robert J. Aber (Missie Emmert) of Sheffield, Stacey Richardson of Sheffield and Ian J Aber (Kayla) of Wyanet. She loved them dearly. 5 Grandchildren Ashton, Austin and Ayda Aber and Mark and Breanna Richardson, which she was very involved with. They brought her great joy and pride always enjoyjng the time they spent together. 2 brothers, John (Nancy) Rogel of Vista, CA and Joe (Candice) Rogel of Morris IL. Several cousins, nieces, nephews and old souls she met along the way. Her family and the time they shared meant everything to her. She also left behind her loyal dog, Jersey, who was always by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ernest Rogel Jr and Stephen Rogel.
She had fond memories of her children, her youthful family trips to the Northwoods of Wisconsin and the family gatherings at Grandpa Rettkos garage filled with family. She spent a lot of time with her mother as she aged, helping her with basic and medical needs. She loved the life she created - No regrets and full of love.
Cremation rites will be recorded. At her request there is no service, rather a celebration of her life which will become available once a date for has been selected. In lieu of flowers please donate directly to ALS research in hope they can someday find a cure.
