Lisa Lynn Bailey, born on January 16, 1977, in Cedar Falls, passed away on April 1, 2025, in Davenport, surrounded by the warmth of her beliefs and cherished memories. Lisa approached life with a vibrant spirit, embracing each day with enthusiasm and kindness, even in the face of significant health challenges. Her unwavering positivity was evident in the way she connected with others, always ready to share a kind word or a smile with a stranger.
Raised in Hudson, Lisa passionately pursued her education, ultimately obtaining her culinary degree from Scott Community College. She thrived in the food industry, showcasing her culinary talents through cooking, training, and management, where she cultivated not only delicious dishes but also relationships with those she worked alongside.
A devoted family member, Lisa found immense joy in the company of her family, especially her two youngest nephews. These relationships were dear to her heart, and she treasured the time spent with them, creating moments filled with laughter and love. Lisa was also a proud dog mom to her beloved pets—Sadie, Jada, Montana, and Charlie—who brought immeasurable joy and companionship to her life.
An avid reader, she had a particular fondness for mystery and thriller novels. However, as health issues began to affect her hands, her reading habit waned, yet her love for stories remained a cherished part of her identity. Lisa's faith was central to her life; she rarely missed online services and shared her belief in "faith over fear" with all who knew her, especially during her final days. She looked forward to reuniting with her brother, Bradley, and her fiancé in the afterlife, envisioning a warm embrace as she walked through heaven's gate.
Lisa is survived by her mother and stepfather, Lynn and Ken Dengler; her father and stepmother, Steve and Pam Bailey; her brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Ann Bailey; her sisters, Amelia Bailey and Amanda Bailey; and her niece and five nephews. She also leaves behind her maternal grandparents, Marilyn and Marvin Lonergan.
Preceding her in death are her paternal grandparents, George and Vivian Bailey; her brother, Bradley Bailey; along with one aunt, two uncles, and one cousin.
As we reflect on Lisa Lynn Bailey's life, we remember a warm-hearted woman who embraced every moment, spread kindness wherever she went, and held her loved ones close to her heart. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched with her infectious spirit and unwavering faith.
