Marcia Diane Lorenz

Marcia Lorenz was born on September 2, 1949, to Roy and Lillian Ruge. She left to join them in heaven on October 6, 2024. Per her wishes, there will be no services. A private burial will be held at Memorial Park in Davenport. Memorials may be made to her family.

Marcia graduated from Central High School. She then married her love, Jerry Lorenz, on October 11, 1974; they divorced in 1984. In 1987, she met the love of her life and soul mate, Timothy Pashia (Too Tall). They shared 23 years together before his passing in 2010.

Marcia spent 33 years in the optical industry, from making glasses to selling them to management. She retired from the optical industry through America’s Best in 2012. Marcia and Tim were members of the Eagles Club for many years and made many friends through the club. 

Marcia enjoyed her crafting, hours crocheting, doing her decoupage, and lots of diamond dots art. She loved spending time with her family, especially her cat, Skye. She was always a huge fan of Elvis Presley and watching Hallmark Movies.

Survivors include sisters Nancy (Elmer) Justus from Davenport and Patti (Richard) White from Florida; brothers Joe (Karen) LeBarge of DeWitt, Iowa; sister-in-law Luann Tuni Carney of Davenport, Iowa; step-daughters Lynn Pascha and Kay Murray, many nieces and nephews and two very special nieces that she was very close to Candy (Chad) Cribb and Terri (Kevin) Riordan. She had a lifelong friend who was always there when she needed her Leigh A. Macias-Reitz.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Ruge and Lillian LeBarge, brothers, Wayne Ruge, Dale Caylor, Bill Runge and Mike Tuni Carney, sisters Marlys Grubbs, Sandra Lopez, Darlene Gifford, her fiancé Tim Pashia and her BFFs Barb Connelly, Evy Mensch, and Colleen Bonney.
