Margaret Ann Kruskop

Margaret Ann Kruskop (Griswold), 80, of Kewanee, Illinois, died Wednesday, February 26th, at her residence surrounded by family.

Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kewanee, Illinois, at 10am with pastor David Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at the Snareville Cemetery in rural Wyoming, IL.

Margaret Kruskop was born November 24th, 1944 in Lafayette, IL, the daughter of Walter and Ruth Griswold (Carter). She married James Alfred Kruskop on July 7th, 1962 in Princeville, IL. She is survived by her brother Don (Rosemary) Griswold of Chillicothe IL, her sister Marie LaMay of Rock Island IL, her brother John (Linda) Griswold of Mission TX, her son Micheal (Phyllis) Kruskop of Mesa AZ, daughter Susan Kruskop of Kewanee IL, son Joshua Kruskop of Kewanee, grandson David (Jovita) Kruskop of Maricopa AZ, granddaughter Courtney Kruskop of Galesburg IL, granddaughter Lauren (Travis) Gillyard of Jacksonville FL, grandson Brandon (Erin) Kruskop of Galva IL, granddaughter Amity (Coty) Funk of Bloomington IL and grandson Cristian Kruskop of Bloomington IL, as well as eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Kruskop, son Christopher Douglas Kruskop, brother Vernon Griswold, sister Judy Britton, mother Ruth Griswold (Carter) and father Walter Griswold.

She retired as a newspaper distribution manager covering Kewanee for the Peoria Journal Star newspaper. She was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kewanee. Her hobbies included playing cards, puzzles, camping, fishing, and watching the Cubs play baseball. She enjoyed family time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
