Marilyn Jane (Monroe) Hinton, 79, of Colona, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Per her wishes, there will be no services, and a private burial will be in the Hanna Township Cemetery in rural Geneseo.
Marilyn was born at home in Galva, IL, on May 9, 1943, to Lee and Margaret Jane (Brown) Monroe. She was the youngest of 11 children. She married Robert Hinton, and was a Stay-at-home mom raising her three children, Scott, Sue, and Karin.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; children: Scott (Tara) Hinton, Geneseo, Susan Lohman, Chicago, and Karin (Chuck) Barrett, Colona; grandchildren: Hunter, Meredith, Jack, Ben, Erin, and Sarah; siblings: Helen, John, Lee, and Evelyn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; and siblings: Clinton, Eileen, Bob, Margaret, Ruby, and Jim.
