Always the loudest voice in the room, Matthew Wayne Augsburger's life was filled with love, music, and Vikings football. Matt passed away on June 13, 2024, shocking his family and friends with the quiet of his absence.
Matt's love for his beloved daughter, Eira, was unparalleled. Every achievement of hers was a source of immense pride for him. Her drawings, songs, jokes, and hugs were treasures he cherished. His love for her was all-encompassing, a testament to the depth of his being.
Matt wanted to live to continue making music and podcasts with friends, making his new home his own, and loving his dog Soda and cat Vik. He also wanted to keep writing poetry, spending time with nieces and nephews, and watching Vikings football.
Matt wanted to keep living, but addiction took away his beautiful life. His family and friends will keep his memory alive and love Eira as deeply and fully as Matt would have wanted.
Matt is survived by his daughter Eira, parents Randy and Kenna, sisters Amanda (Dan) and Kari (Steve), brother Brian (Kelly), and nieces and nephews (Raven, Courtney, Keena, Amery, Kael, Millie, Lena, Finn, Ferris, Drew, and Kyleigh.) In lieu of flowers, please donate to Eira's college fund.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on his Memory Page at mvcremation.com
