Merrily Jean Point, 76, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport, IA.

Merrily Point was born in Clinton, IA, on October 23, 1945, to Ken Aiken and Marion (Eby) Stuedeman.
She was a talented seamstress and worked for several decorators in the Quad City area, she could make anything for home decor. She married her high school sweetheart, Alan Point, and raised two children. They enjoyed many adventures before Alan passed in 2003. Including motorcycle cross-country trips, camping and fishing with the children, and sailing their boat "The Alamare " up and down the Mississippi River to Florida and back.
A few years later, Merrily was blessed with another 15 years of love and adventure with Steven Faust, who passed away in 2020. Together they enjoyed their camper and road trips, eventually selling their home and volunteering for several Corp of Engineer parks around the country, including Southern Illinois, the St. Louis area, South Carolina, and Oklahoma. Meeting new people and being active made them happy. After Steve's passing, she also enjoyed volunteering for Compassus and helping other families with end-of-life hospice needs.
Merrily was passionate about gardening, wildlife, sitting by the fire, and cooking for those she loved. She was quick to make friends, and loved traveling, fishing, and being active.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula (Rob) Muller; son, Wade (Shelly) Point; two grandchildren, Justin and Haileigh; brother, Ken Aiken of Wisconsin; and twin sister Nancy Schoolman of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alan Point and partner Steven Faust.
We will miss your energy!! And fishing with you, mom! I hope we are all lucky enough to live life as you did! Embracing the new and your adventurous spirit. Always open and spontaneous.
