Mollee LaVon McCain, 90, of Geneseo, IL, passed away, Friday, January 20, 2023, at WoodRidge Supportive Living, Geneseo, IL.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Family and friends that wish to attend Mollee's graveside service are asked to meet in the parking lot of Wendt Funeral Home at or before 11:00 am to join the procession to Arsenal Island.

Mollee LaVon (Stark) McCain was born in Fairfield, Iowa on August 16, 1932, the daughter of Loren & Marjorie (Keller) Stark
She married Melvin G. McCain January 7, 1955, in Mt. Carroll, IL.

Mollee retired several times and she had worked at May Co. Moline, IL -1980, Martin Pharmacy Fairfield, Iowa -1994, and Augustana College Rock Island, IL -2011. Mollee loved working! Mollee loved her family so dearly - anyone who visited with her always heard about "the kids".

Molle is survived by her daughter, Stefanie (McCain) & Ed Ruby, grandchildren, Chase & Heather Ruby, Kim (Ruby) & Sean Stoner; great grandchildren, Addison & Lance Winger, Brooklyn, Olivia, Chandler Ruby, also longtime friend since 1959, Pat Pender and two dear, friends from her job at Augie- Heather Ross & Gloria Bollinger

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin G. McCain in 1994, parents, Loren & Marjorie Stark, sisters, Bettye Bruey, Marilyn Todd, and Pat Heston.
