Silvis

Patricia M. Bennett, 80, of Silvis, IL, passed away at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, East Moline, IL, on February 20, 2025. She was born on May 18, 1944, in Kewanee, Il, the daughter of Oscar and Thelma (Caldwell) Stoner. Survivors include her two children, Todd (Andrea) Bennett of Mahomet, and Teresa Bennett Saddler (David) of Silvis and one grandson, Drew Bennett. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George E. Bennett, her parents, and twelve siblings.

She grew up in Kewanee, the ninth out of fifteen children. She was a beloved daughter and sister. In her early adult years, she worked at Harper-Wyman in Princeton, IL.

In March of 1977, Pat married George Bennett, and she lovingly raised her children in Kewanee with him. Patricia found joy in preparing meals; her orange jello salad and potato salad will be fondly remembered. She was a homemaker who made her family her priority as she loved them well. Some of the best times were the family vacations to Branson every summer. She was a devoted mother and cherished her role as grandmother.

Pat had a sense of humor, and could make people laugh with her sharp wit. Her family will be telling the stories of the funny things she would say for years to come. She had an abundance of love to give, and everyone who knew her could feel it. She even extended that love to her grand-dog, Cooper. Spending time with that dog brought her great joy.

Pat will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of calling her mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Moline, IL.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on her Memory Wall at mvcremation.com.
