Patricia Ann (Blakemore) McFadden, 80, of LeClaire, IA, passed away on July 12, 2022, at Bettendorf Health Center in Bettendorf, IA. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Patti was born January 3, 1942, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Bernard and Anne (Iovinelli) Blakemore. She was raised in the Chicago area and graduated from Palatine High School in Palatine, IL, in 1960.
Patti met her husband Gary McFadden in Savanna, IL, at a family wedding where he served as Best Man. They were married on May 25, 1963. The couple raised two daughters, Debbie (1964) and Sherri (1968).
She enjoyed a career that spanned over thirty years in banking working for various institutions in Savanna, suburban Milwaukee, and Davenport, including Quad City Bank & Trust.
Patti was an outgoing, fun-loving, and caring person. Her family---including their many companion dogs--was everything to her. And, like most woman of Italian ancestry, she loved to cook and was happiest when she was feeding those she loved.
Some of her other hobbies included reading romance novels, watching “her stories” (including daytime dramas and Hallmark movies), arguing about politics, and playing slot machines.
She was thrilled when the Chicago Cubs finally won the World Series in 2016. Not so much because she was a fan, but because her beloved husband, kids, and grandkids were diehards who cared so deeply about it.
Patti is survived by her husband, Gary, daughters, Deborah (Matt) Hauser of Davenport, IA, and Sherri Baker, Lake Geneva, WI; grandchildren, Michael Wuertz of Eldridge, IA and Tara Baker, Minneapolis, MN; brother Tom Doretti, Reno, NV; sisters-in-law, Maureen (McFadden) Ellinor of Lanark, IL, and Sharon (McFadden) Welch, Portland, OR; and brother-in-law Hubert "Shadow" Wise, Clinton, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Horace “Jerry” Doretti; sister, Ida Geraldine “Geri” Doretti; sisters-in-law Betty (McFadden) Rusynyk, Marilyn (McFadden) Wise, Lucille "Sally" (Hartman) McFadden, and Jean (Hatfield) McFadden; and brothers-in-law Gordon McFadden, Raymond McFadden, Kyle Welch, Michael Rusynyk, and Wayne Ellinor.
Condolences may be expressed on her memory page.
