Patricia Seabolt

Patricia Seabolt, 80, of Aledo, IL, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at the Clarissa C Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Patricia was born in Lubbock, TX. Later, her family moved to Corpus Christi, TX. She married her only true love, Buddy Seabolt, and they were married for 50 years. They had two children, Leslie Seabolt of Westminster, CO, and a daughter, Anna Dowd, Aledo, IL. Patricia worked at a local nursing home as a CNA.  She gave her all to those residents and loved them like her own family.     

Patricia loved going in the semi-truck with Buddy and fishing. (Buddy affectionately gave her the nickname name “Creek Bank Patty.”Once he got her to the shore, he couldn’t get her to go home!) But the true lights of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Seeing those little faces really made her shine!  She drove countless trips to and from the local schools for drop off and pick up duty. Served countless snacks and kissed thousands of boo-boos.  And even in the end times, when the dementia was stealing her mind, just the smile from a great-grandbaby could wash away the uncertainty of the day.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Seabolt, and her parents, Don and Bonnie Lee.  

Those left to honor her memory include son Leslie Seabolt (Michelle Bowman) Westminster CO. Daughter Anna (Donald Dowd) Aledo Il, Three sisters, Sharon Carrier, Kathy (Bill) Hingst, Muscatine Iowa. Martha Kadelka, Ganado TX.  Grandchildren Brandon (Claire) Dowd, children Isaac, Eli, and Tyler, of  Davenport, IA. Benjamin (Brittany) Dowd, children Aiden and Jasper, of Aledo, IL. Kaitlyn (Colton) Warner, daughter Sienna, of Sherrard, IL. Natalie Dowd, of Aledo, IL. Rowan Seabolt, of Fort Collins, CO., Logan Seabolt, of Fort Collins, CO, and two precious friends, Dorothy Boutwell and Patsy Knotts.
