Rachel Lynn Carney, 45, of Davenport, IA passed away peacefully at The University of Iowa Hospitals after an extended illness. She was born July 24, 1979 in New Kensington, PA to Stephanie M. Snyder and Michael J. Carney.
Rachel moved to the Quad Cities 30 years ago with her family and was a graduate of Bettendorf High School. She spent most of her adult life employed in the restaurant industry and was currently employed by Fannie May Candies, Davenport, IA. She loved music, movies and keeping in contact with her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Stephanie (Theodore) Smith of Bettendorf, IA, the father who raised her, Mark (Lyudmila) Warchol of Austin, TX, her sister Erin (David) Mudie and nephew Thomas Mudie of Melissa, TX, her boyfriend John Barbeau of Davenport, IA, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her biological father.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to The University of Iowa Hospitals critical and palliative care staff for their kindness.
