Richard Geest

Richard D. Geest, affectionately known as Dick, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024, at the age of 78 in his hometown of Davenport, IA, where he was also born on January 29, 1946.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, Moline, IL

A loving husband to Renate and a devoted father to Charles (Jody), Christopher (Lidija), Andrew (Laurie), and Gretchen, Dick's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Americaus, Miranda, Conner, Lincoln, Gavin, Jackson, and Kayden.

Dick's sister, Sandra Engholm (Al), will fondly remember her brother's kind and thoughtful nature. An avid outdoorsman, Dick's passion for hunting and fishing was only surpassed by the love he had for his family. Those who knew him will remember a man whose very presence was a testament to love and kindness. Dick's gentle spirit and generous heart have left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
