Robert Foust

Robert Gene Foust, 74, of Rock Island, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Friendship Manor. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held at this time.

Robert (Bob) was born on November 3, 1949, in Walla Walla, WA, the son of Robert and Dorothy Foust.

Bob was a loving husband of almost 41 years to his wife, Laura Foust (Bender), father to his two daughters, Emily Foust and Erin Townsend (Foust), and grandfather to his three grandsons, Lincoln (8), Levi (1), and James (1).

Bob worked as a Manager over Shipping and Receiving at Valve Repair Service before an injury caused him to be a stay-at-home dad. He attended concerts, games, and practices and ensured homework was done before dinner, which he often cooked (fan favorites were his stir fry and spaghetti).

Bob was known as a history buff, storyteller, craftsman, and dog whisperer. Bob loved his family very much. His three grandsons brought him so much joy. They will forever know the love that their Papa had for them. Bob will be missed by many, but his legacy will forever live on.
