Ronald Harvey Malmstead Jr.

It is with deep sadness that the family of Ronald H. Malmstead Jr. announces his passing on March 29, 2025, at the age of 69. Ron was born on April 9, 1955, the son of Ronald H. Malmstead Sr. and Donna Malmstead.  A Celebration of Life will be held at The O Kitchen & Tap in Orion, IL, on May 24, 2025, from 2-5 pm. We welcome all to stop by and remember and celebrate Ron's life.    

Ron is survived by two sons and a daughter: Ronald III (Marzena) Malmstead, Eric (Tracy) Malmstead, and Jamie Rocco; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as his siblings, Kathy (Dewy) Moncrief, Michael (Patty) Malmstead, and David Malmstead. He was loved by all and will be missed. 

Everyone knew Ron as a passionate musician who enjoyed life and having fun. He loved his family, Da Bears, Florida, boating, the beach, and playing in different bands. When Ron was on stage, he was at his happiest.
