Russell "Russ" Allan Dowell, 64, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Russ was born on April 5, 1958, to Dick and Barbara (Schmidt) Dowell. When Russ was 21, he met the love of his life, Becky Peters, and they spent 43 wonderful years together.
Russ worked for Novelis (formerly Nichols Aluminum) for 47 years and was finally set to retire in April 2023. He enjoyed spoiling his six grandchildren, mushroom hunting, flea markets, antique hunting, fishing, and shooting pool in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife, Becky, Davenport, IA; son, Kelly (Allison), Janesville, WI; daughter, Cora, Davenport, IA; sister, Tracy (Dave) Rowland, Davenport, IA; brother, Tom (Kandice) Dowell, Davenport, IA; six grandchildren; uncles, Bob (Gloria) Schmidt, Eldridge, IA; Ronnie (Joyce) Schmidt, Pleasantville, IA; aunt, Marge Schumann, Davenport, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Chuck Dowell, his grandparents, and father and mother-in-law, Chris and Cora Mae Peters.
There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Russ this coming Spring.
