Ruth Marsh-Heeb, a beacon of creativity and warmth, passed away peacefully at the age of 81, on May 2, 2024, in Rock Island, Illinois, after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. Born on January 14, 1943, in Medina, New York, Ruth's spirited personality and loving nature touched the lives of everyone she encountered.

Throughout her life, Ruth's artistic talents shone brightly as she found joy in painting ceramics, crocheting, and knitting. Her zest for life led her to the dance floor and the excitement of casino boats. Ruth's love for her family was unparalleled, and she took every opportunity to cook for family gatherings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that will be deeply missed.

Ruth's legacy is carried on by her devoted children, Tammy Unger, Brenda Unger, John (Rena) Unger, Michael Unger, Mark Miller, Cindy Miller; her grandchildren, Staci Engbrock, Amanda Pask, Brandy Unger, Jon Luc Moore, Edwin Moore, Kyle Moore, Kristen Marsh, Austin Unger, Autumn Unger, and Kayla Lee Seibert-Unger; as well as several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, will forever cherish her memory and the lessons of love and creativity she instilled in them.

Ruth's life was a masterpiece of love, laughter, and artistry. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered as a woman who lived life to the fullest, with a passion for creativity and a boundless love for her family.

Cremation will be directed by Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, Moline.
