Sharon K. Pettit, 75, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at ProMedica Nursing and Rehabilitation, Moline.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the Polish Pub, 2301 4th Avenue, Rock Island, IL 61201. Memorials may be made to QC Paws.
Sharon was born September 30, 1946, in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Marvin A. and Marjorie K. Wise. She worked at Friendship Manor, Rock Island, as a Nursing Aide and later worked for many years at the Polish Pub, Rock Island. Sharon loved her family and friends and had a special bond with her puppy, Bane and dog, Remy.
She will be missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Goranson; grandchildren, Erica Goranson and Adam Becker, IN; great-grandchildren, Ava and Lorelai, Sam Goranson, Germany and Luke Goranson, IA; siblings, Charlie and Stephanie Wise, FL, Mark and Denise Wise, AL, Marv and Gabby Wise, IL, Rick and Kim Miers, IL, Rene Snow, New Zealand, Michael and Loretta Miers, IL, Doug and Micheel Miers, IL, Time and Stephanie Miers, IL, Michaelle Bartz, IA, brothers-in-law, Greg Meiresonne and Jack Lange.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Tommy and sisters, Sam Mieresonne and Lisa Miers Lange.
