Steven Nicks

Steve Nicks of Bettendorf, Iowa, died peacefully at his home surrounded by family on the morning of December 3, 2024.

Steve was born on June 19, 1955, in Dubuque, Iowa, where he met and married his wife, Violet. He was a John Deere retiree, lover of Whitey’s ice cream shakes, and an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. We are at peace knowing he has reunited with his beloved pets, Daizy and Bandit. 

He is survived by his loving wife Violet, daughters Niki Nicks and Sara (Andy) Daggett, grandson Torin Rowan, grand-dog Weetzie, and brother Jeff (Mary Ann) Nicks. 

There will be no services, however in lieu of flowers, we know that donations to King’s Harvest Animal Shelter would be appreciated by Steve. 

The family would like to thank Unity Point Hospice (with a special shout-out to Eileen!) for all the love and comfort they gave the entire family.
