Susanna Dee "Sue" Kinnick, age 54, of Moline, Illinois, overdosed on Tuesday, July 18, 2024, and passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, after a lifelong battle with mental health. Sue was born on May 29, 1970, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late David and Zola (Kennedy) Kinnick. She grew up in Footville, WI, and spent her adult life in the Quad Cities, Iowa/Illinois area.
Sue graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Relations from Milligan College and worked for Handicapped Development Center/Empowering Abilities for over 30 years in apartments with people with disabilities. She thoroughly enjoyed grilling, nurturing her flowers, and her numerous pets through the years. Most conversations included quotes or references from her favorite movie, Tommy Boy. Her laughter will live on in the hearts of those she loved. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Sue is survived by her brothers, Timothy (Tracy) Kinnick of Rose Hill, KS, and Jonathan (Megan) Kinnick of Johnson City, TN, and enjoyed being the "Crazy Aunt" for her nieces and nephews, Julie (Kevin) Gentry, Katrina Murray, Robert (Kaitlin) Kinnick, Nathan (Amy) Kinnick, and Natalie (Jamie) Kinnick.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Mississippi Valley Cremation, Moline, IL. It will be an informal time to visit and share memories and stories about Sue.
