Tammy S. Jones, 60, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Per her wishes, cremations rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on a future date.
Tammy was born in Springfield, IL, on March 25, 1962, the daughter of Kenneth and Georgia (Raikes) Muckelston.
She loved watching TV series, reading books, cooking, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Some of her fondest memories were of growing up in Cordova, and she liked listening to the music of Meat Loaf and Nickelback. Tammy had a heart of gold, and those who knew her; knew that she would do anything for them. She loved everyone and made a big impact in the lives of those that she knew and those that she had just met.
Survivors include her children, Erin Muckelston, Amanda Hatton, and James Jones; a sister, Jennifer Muckelston-Nauman; grandchildren, Damien, Kenny, Kevin, Destiney, David, Davouis, Natalie, and Landon, along with great-grandchildren, Bentley, Raelynn, and Rylan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia and Kenneth Muckelston, a brother, Troy Muckelston, and a nephew, Ryan Muckelston.
Her Favorite Psalm: Every Woman's Prayer - "Lord, I know I'm going to heaven because I've had my hell on earth."
